Jordana Brewster became a famous American actress when she appeared in her first 1998 movie “The Faculty” which her role in the movie as “Delilah Profitt” catched the attention of a wider audience. Then in 2001, she made the world love and adore her by playing as “Mia Toretto” in a street racing movie “The Fast and the Furious” alongside Paul Walker, Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez. It was on April 26, 1980 in Panama City that this gorgeous woman was born to father Alden Brewster (an investment banker) and mother Maria João (a former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model). Jordana Brewster relocated to London (when she was 2 months) and six years later she moved to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After spending for four years in Brazil, she decided to move again in Manhattan, New York (a place where she finally decided to settle down).
Jordana Brewster studied at Convent of the Sacred Heart (an all-female school) where she showed her first acting in its theater during her school days. Wanting to further develop her talent in acting, she decided to continue her education at Professional Children’s School. After her graduation from the school, Brewster attended Yale University.
Brewster’s debut in American television show was in soap opera “All My Children” but she only made a one time appearance. Then, she got a more recurring and profitable role in another American television soap opera “As the World Turns”. Brewster was nominated for her amazing appearance as “Nikki Munson” in the show at the Soap Opera Digest Awards in 1997. One year later after her first nomination, she got her first, bigger and better role in science fiction flick “The Faculty”, followed by a role as “Sarah Weinstock” in NBC TV series “The 60′s” along with her fellow teen star Julia Stiles.
Her huge and greater year was in 2001 when Jordana Brewster made an appearance alongside Cameron Diaz in drama movie “The Invisible Circus” and starred in box office hit “The Fast and the Furious”. Brewster’s role in the car-themed flick was her breakthrough role which earned her a praise from Variety.com. The high budget movie grossed more than $200 million worldwide.
In 2004, Jordana Brewster had a role as a woman lover and criminal mastermind in the comedy action flick “D.E.B.S” where she played along with Sara Foster, Meagan Good, Devon Aoki and Jill Ritchie. And then in 2006 she was cast in drama film “Annapolis”, followed by a role as “Chrissie” in horror movie “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning”. She said something about this “Mia Torreto” character when she was interviewed by AskMen.com : “I become more of a woman, tougher than my first appearance in The Fast and the Furious.”
Jordana Brewster reprised her role of Mia for the second time in the fifth installment of “The Fast and the Furious”, “Fast Five” which the filming took place in Rio de Janeiro. The movie garnered another big financial success, grossing more than $600 million worldwide and it placed number 61 on the highest grossing film list.
Jordana Brewster was placed #54, #59, #9 on “Hot 100″ list by Maxim magazine in 2005, 2006 and 2009, number 96 in the “102 Sexiest Women in the World” by Stuff magazine in 2002, and #8 and #22 on “100 Hottest Women” list by AfterEllen.com in 2007 and 2008. In the May 2009 issue of Maxim magazine, she posed wearing a range of sexy black lingerie to coincide with “Fast & Furious 4″. And this year Maxim decided to place this sweet woman at number 11 on their “Hot 100″ list.
