Shoulders were out in force on Day three of the Cannes Film Festival as countless dresses were either one shouldered or off the shoulder.
Clemence Posey wore a pale blue, almost grey ankle off the shoulder dress. She teamed it with blue heels a thin belt and her hair was lightly tousled. The look was very romantic and natural.
Also baring those shoulders was Vanessa Hudgens in a one shouldered dusky pink Grecian style dress. To add some party glamour to the look, Vanessa wore gold platforms giving her height but also a funky edge to an unfussy dress.
Jane Fonda also wore an off shoulder black dress, which clung to her magnificent curves. Teaming this with a black choker Jane could give the 20-year-olds a run for their money in the fashion stakes.
The radiant Penelope Cruz gave us a showing of two outfits at Cannes. On the red carpet she wore a blue/grey magnificently beautiful chiffon gown. The shoulders and hem had large amounts of chiffon, while the body part was embellished with beads in swirling patterns.
Then for another Cannes event, Penelope changed into a simple navy blue shift style dress with cut out shoulders. Her hair also magically transformed from having a fringe when wearing her chiffon gown to having no fringe in the navy dress, owed to the brilliant skills of her hair and beauty staff.
Sarah Jessica Parker wore two dresses that couldn’t have been more different. For one Cannes event she wore a white lace dress with a thick belt to bring it in at the waist. She accessorised this with pearl beads and wavy hair.
Then for another occasion the look was bolder. She wore a long sleeved maxi-dress which was mostly black with swirling floral patterns.
In order to compensate for the vivid frock, Sarah wore her hair in a chignon to keep it neat and simple.
Making an appearance at Cannes was Cheryl Cole who wore a low cut, long sleeved bright white floor length evening gown.
