Facial Mask Tips
Test before applying
Even if your mask is made solely of natural products, it is possible to experience irritation or unpleasant sensation. Make sure that you test the mask on a small skin region, particularly if your skin is sensitive. Apply the mask, wash clean and wait for any reaction. If you get no rash within 24 hours, you can confidently apply the mask.

Frequency and application
Store-bought masks usually instruct you in terms of how frequently you should apply. Most masks need to be used once or twice per week. It really depends on the type of active ingredients and the effect you want to get. Cleansing and deeply nourishing masks are to be used once per week.

Application and removal Keep in mind that a face mask needs to be applied for no more than 20 minutes. Most active ingredients will be absorbed within 15 minutes. Wash your face clean using lukewarm water and a soft towel – this will improve circulation and make your skin look fresh.

Clay cleans oily skin
Clay is one of the most beneficial natural skin care products. Numerous masks contain clay, which purifies oily skin and cleans clogged pores. Clay masks are most suitable for oily skin and for people experiencing frequent skin problems – inflammations, blackheads and pimples.

Moisturize Get a large piece of cotton and wet it with lukewarm water. It needs to feel heavy and saturated. Divide the large piece into smaller ones that are positioned on the face once the mask is applied. Tear the pieces so that they cover all of the face apart from the eyes, nose and mouth. The wet cotton will ‘seal’ the mask and add extra moisture. Further, it will help you remove the mask effortlessly.
