As we arrived at the Investec Derby Festival the weather seemed to be slightly overcast, however the mood was certainly not. Cheery smiled and vibrant colours took pride of place as eager race-goers felt onto the Epsom Downs and around The Queen’s Stand in what was an exciting event.

With legendary horses such as Shergar, Nijinsky, Mill Reef and Seabird – who have all ridden this course – 2010’s winner hero Workforce seemed to now have been crowned the best horse in the world so far.
Friday’s Ladies Day took over with celebrities such as Erin O’Connor who adorned a colourful sculpted hat by milliner Louis Mariette.
On Saturday, HRH Queen Elizabeth II, alongside Prince Philip and Princess’ Eugenie and Beatrice were in attendance at 1pm.
Commentator John McCririck was also on site to watch the exciting Investec Derby race that took place at 4pm.
Apart from celebs everyday people had turned up in droves to watch the event such as Anna Peill, who was dressed in a gorgeous TFNC dress, vibrant fuchsia wedge heels and a Marc Jacob clutch to finish the outfit off. Street dancers and jazz players wandered and played in the background whilst the crowd mingled before all the racing started
