Cameron Diaz rose to fame when she played alongside Jim Carrey in comedy film “The Mask” as Tina Carlyle (the girlfriend of a bad guy Dorian Tyrell), as Kimberly Wallace in romantic-comedy movie “My Best Friend’s Wedding” along with Julia Robert and in “There’s Something About Mary” during 1990s. Her other roles that made her even more popular are in action-comedy movie “Charlie’s Angels” (playing as Natalie Cook, one of three attractive and talented women) and as the voice of Princess Fiona in Shrek film series.



Cameron Diaz Biography :
A gorgeous blonde with blue eyes, Cameron Diaz was born on August 30, 1972 in San Diego, California. Cameron Diaz, the daughter of Billie and Emilio Diaz (field gauger at oil company UNOCAL) described her self as a tough kid who loves to go for an adventure.

By the time Cameron Diaz was 16 years old, she went out for some Hollywood party and during that time she was approached and suggested to become a model by a photographer. Then Cameron Diaz began her first career in fashion modeling with Elite Model Management (modeling agency) and became a worldwide traveler, often traveling to model for high brands like Calvin Klein, Nivea, Levi’s and Coca Cola.

At age 21, one of Cameron’s agent for Elite Model Management secured this good-looking woman an audition for comedy film “The Mask”. Despite having no acting experience, Cameron amazed the film producer and she was cast in the comedy movie alongside Jim Carrey. It was her first recurring role which made her to become popular overnight and received three MTV Movie Award nominations. The movie itself grossed more than $300 million worldwide and it was the most highest number two behind “Batman”.

Her next mainstream movie were “My Best Friend’s Wedding” in 1997 and “There’s Something About Mary” in the following year. Cameron Diaz won the MTV Movie Award for Best Performance and nominated for Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for her role as Mary Jensen in “There’s Something About Mary”. Her other great performance was in 1999 comedy-fantasy movie “Being John Malkovich” alongside John Cusack. For her role in this movie as Lotte Schwartz, Cameron earned several nominations at the Golden Globe, BAFTA and SAG Awards.

In 2000, Cameron Diaz featured in the action-comedy movie “Charlie’s Angels” alongside Lucy Liu and Drew Barrymore. The next year Cameron Diaz played in psychological-thriller movie “Vanilla Sky” (for which she received nominations at Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards) and she also found greater success for a long term by becoming the voice of Princess Fiona in animated blockbuster movie “Shrek”.

After staring along with Tom Cruise in “Vanilla Sky”, Cameron Diaz was cast as Jenny Everdeane in the mid-19th themed movie “Gangs of New York” in 2002. For her performance in this movie, Cameron Diaz received another nomination from the Golden Globe Awards. In 2008, Cameron had a success when she played as Joy McNally Fuller (a stockbroker who is dumped by her fiance) in the romantic-comedy movie “What Happens in Vegas” along with Ashton Kutcher.

In 2010, Cameron Diaz returned again to lend her voice in animated movie “Shrek Forevere After” before reuniting with Tom Cruise in high-budget movie “Knight and Day”. In the following year (2011), she featured in the superhero movie “The Green Hornet” (with Seth Rogen, Jay Chou and Christoph Waltz) and played in “Bad Teacher” as Elizabeth Halsey with Justin Timberlake.
