On the second day of racing at Ascot 2011 the Queen arrived as is the usual procedure at 2pm during the royal procession wearing a white jacket and pale pink hat.
Sophie countess of Wessex opted for a royal blue dress and black shoes, blazer jacket and clutch bag. She wore a blue fascinator with peacock feathers attached which seem to be a very big trend at the races this season.
Classical singer Katherine Jenkins was in attendance with her fiancé Gethin Jones. She was the lady in red at Ascot racecourse wearing a red dress and red hat. The circular hat was titled sideways with red and black flowers and feathers sprouting out on the underside. Her hair was neatly tied in a low chignon and accessories were kept simple with a black clutch bag and platform heels.
Not one to shy away from attention was dressed in her usual ultra glamorous attire. She chose mauve as the main colour for her dress which had asymmetric silk and chiffon fabric cross cutting along the front. Nancy then bizarrely had what looked like a bouquet of flowers creeping up one side and around her head. Whatever floats your boat I suppose!
